Pro Filter

A slicer that ranks the options it filters

An all-in-one slicer combining search, images, measures and hierarchies in one control, so the filter itself tells you which options matter before you pick one.

Pro Filter

Illustration of the visual's layout.

A stock slicer tells you what you can filter by. Pro Filter tells you what you should filter by: each row carries its own measure and a share bar, so the ranking is visible before you click anything.

It replaces several controls at once — a search box for long member lists, image tiles where the thing being filtered is visual, and multi-level hierarchies in a single control instead of one slicer per level.

Capabilities

  • Measures on every row

Show a value beside each option with a proportional share bar, turning the slicer into a ranked summary.

  • Images and tiles

Bind an image per item and switch between a compact list and an image tile layout.

  • Search

Filter long lists down as you type, instead of scrolling a slicer with hundreds of members.

  • Hierarchies

Drill through multiple field levels in a single control rather than stacking one slicer per level.

  • Sorting

Order members by their measure, by label, or by an explicit sort field from your model.

  • Appearance control

Tune the selection style, row density, fonts and colours to match the rest of the report.

How licensing worksNothing is locked — a license removes the on-visual notice.

Free to try, in full
Build, test and demo everything the visual does. No feature is locked or hidden behind a license.
A license removes the notice
Unlicensed visuals show a small notification in published reports, to editors and viewers alike. Licensing removes it.
Licensed per user
Everyone who edits or views the report needs their own license — in practice, everyone you share it with. Assigned by an admin in the Microsoft 365 admin center.
30-day free trial
Activating a trial removes the notification for 30 days, so you can pilot the visual in a real, shared report.
