An org chart, or organogram, is a tree of who reports to whom. The Org Chart for Power BI builds that tree from a parent-child table: an Entity ID and a Parent ID per row, which is the shape HR systems, ERP cost-centre hierarchies and legal-entity registers already export. The same two fields draw a reporting structure, a subsidiary ownership chart or an approval flow.
Each node can also carry a KPI. Bind a value, a target and a period and the node shows a status colour, so a headcount tree doubles as a performance dashboard and a manager scanning it finds the under-target team before opening another report page. Photos, accent colours and swimlanes come from further fields in the same table.

Group nodes into horizontal or vertical lanes by department, region or any other category.
Dual orientation
Switch between left-to-right and top-down layouts to suit the shape of the hierarchy.
Expand and collapse
Collapse branches individually or toggle the whole tree, with zoom, fit-to-screen and smooth panning for large charts.
Interactive legend
Click a KPI status in the legend to filter the tree down to just the nodes in that state.
Photos and accent colours
Bind base-64 images for people or units, and set a per-node accent colour from your data.
