A parliament chart shows composition the way the room itself is arranged. Rather than a pie or a stacked bar, each seat is a mark, and parties sit as contiguous blocks along the arc — which makes majorities and coalitions readable by position, not just by comparing lengths.
Sort order can be driven from your data, so parties arrange left to right along whatever political axis your dataset defines.

Dynamic layouts
Set the angle span to produce a semi-circular hemicycle, a shallow arch or a full circle.
Contiguous party blocks
Seats are assigned in angular order, so every party occupies one unbroken wedge rather than scattered dots.
Centre readout
The middle of the chamber shows the total, and updates to a party's own count when you select it.
Cross-filtering
Clicking a party highlights its seats and filters the rest of the report like any native visual.
