A parliament chart, also called a hemicycle or seat chart, draws one mark per seat and groups the marks by party along an arc. In Power BI it replaces the half-donut most report authors fall back on, which shows share but hides the two numbers readers look for first: how many seats short of a majority each side is, and which combinations of parties cross the line.
The visual needs two fields, Party and Seat Count; the rest is optional. Sort Order decides where each party sits along the arc, so you can arrange a chamber left to right on whichever political axis your data uses. Custom Color takes each party’s official colour from your model instead of the report theme.
Election-night results, coalition scenarios and board or shareholder voting blocs all fit the same shape.

Contiguous party blocks
Seats are assigned in angular order, so every party occupies one unbroken wedge rather than scattered dots.
Center readout
The middle of the chamber shows the total, and updates to a party's own count when you select it.
Cross-filtering
Clicking a party highlights its seats and filters the rest of the report like any native visual.
